 President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi is on self-isolation following a contact tracing exercise that has revealed potential COVID-19 exposure yesterday.

An Office of the President press release says the potential exposure has been identified within the VIP protection unit.

It says President Masisi’s self-isolation is out of caution while more information is being gathered to ascertain the level of risk which will guide additional precautions and investigations in relation to the exposure.

Meanwhile, another press release has announced that Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Minister Eric Molale, deputies Mr Kgotla Autlwetse and Mr Sethabelo Modukanele are also in self-isolation. Still in the same ministry, its permanent secretary Dr Temba Mmusi and deputy permanent secretary coporate services Ms Onalenna Sechele have had to go into self-isolation.

Public is advised to continue following COVID-19 health protocols and consider any potential risk and exposure to COVID-19 with the seriousness it deserves. Ends
