Club ensures childrens safety

Maradu Primary school road safety club, in Francistown ensures children safety when crossing the road.

The Coordinator of the club and a teacher, Ms Goemeone Thembo said she formed the club in 1997 to assist children to cross the road safely.

Ms Thembo said the school was prone to road accidents due to high traffic flow especially in the morning.

She said the club worked hand in hand with Motor Vehicle Accident fund, teachers and security offices to help children to cross the road.

Ms Thembo appealed to the officials to install road humps to control vehicle speed.

The School Head, Ms Maria Serumula echoed the club coordinator’s words saying the school was prone to accidents. BOPA
