Francistown is engulfed by indiscriminate waste disposal especially in the bushy areas.

The city's authorities recently expressed concern about the escalating rate of illegal waste dumping.

Leaders cautioned residents against littering, adding that the trend was a health hazard to people, animals and the environment.

They also called on residents to join hands against illegal waste dumping and report any suspected case of unlawful waste disposal.
