AGORA Club Botswana on August 11 donated 25 pairs of spectacles to students with poor vision from some schools in Francistown.
Speaking during handing over ceremony of the spectacles this week, parents teachers association chairperson, Mr Moses Mpuchana, commended Agora Club International for making a difference in the lives of needy students.
As such, Mr Mpuchana urged students to keep the glasses safely so that they could derive maximum benefits from them.
Chief education officer, Mr Vumani Luckson, echoed sentiments that students who had benefitted from the noble gesture should go all out, study hard and make it in life.
“Now that you have been assisted with the spectacles, go all out and look at life in a positive light and make the best out of it,” he said.
Mr Luckson called on the AGORA to keep on extending a helping hand to students across the country for the benefit of all.
In 2019, a total of 45 students in Ghanzi District benefited from the project. ENDS
