Presidents entitled to official transport

The President, vice president and former presidents are entitled to official transport at all times.
The Assistant Minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Dumizweni Mthimkhulu, said this while responding to a question in Parliament on August 12.
He said the costs incurred on trips, be it official, private or political, were not separated.
Mr Mthimkhulu indicated that former vice presidents were entitled to an official vehicle while the associated costs of their trips were met privately.
Member of Parliament for Francistown South, Mr Wynter Mmolotsi wanted to find out how much government spent on political party trips undertaken by the President, the Vice President, former presidents and former vice presidents between June and October 2019. ENDS
