Professor Mosepele Mosepele has withdrawn his resignation from the COVID-19 presidential task team which he had tendered last week.

A press release from Office of the President says Prof Mosepele’s decision follows his meeting with President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi on August 8.

Meanwhile the release has disclosed that task team coordinator, Dr Kereng Masupu and scientific advisor, Dr Mogomotsi Matshaba have tested positive for COVID-19.

Prof Mosepele, hitherto Dr Masupu’s deputy, will act as coordinator, says the release.

It says President Masisi assures the nation of government’s commitment to the fight against COVID-19 and unwavering support to experts leading the task team.

 

The nation is also advised to abide by all health precautions and take care of the elderly, children and vulnerable groups. BOPA
