 Government  plans to install FM gap fillers and a Medium Wave transmitter at Kgalagadi North with two transmitters to be installed in Ukhwi and Ncaang  during the current financial year, funds permitting.

Assistant Minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Dumezweni Mthimkhulu told Parliament on Wednesday that the planned sites would have both Radio Botswana and RB2 signals and were expected to give good coverage for Ngwatle. 

Further, Mr Mthimkhulu said a medium wave transmitter would be installed in Hukuntsi, and was expected to provide coverage for Zutshwa and also compliment the coverage for the two FM sites.

The assistant minister was  responding to MP for Kgalagadi North, Ms Talitha Monnakgotla, who had asked the minister if his ministry would consider improving the Radio Botswana signal coverage in Zutshwa and extend the coverage to Ngwatle and Ukhwi settlements. Ends
