Water utilities Corporation (WUC) is working round the clock to repair a major pipe that burst in Francistown’s Central Business Area, near Galo mall on Thursday.

The corporation through a press statement informed its customers in and around Nswazwi Mall, Ntshe house, metcourt, Thapama hotel, Marang, Donga and Selepa in Francistown that they would experience water supply shortage interruption due to repair the pipe.

The repair of the pipe affected the vehicle movement hence caused traffic jam and the water also damaged the road. 

The statement states that water restoration is expected today 06/08/20 around 1600 hours with affected areas recovering at different times.

WUC further urges residents to always keep their taps closed as water supply may be restored anytime without prior notice. Ends
