Kwa Nokeng donates fuel

Kwa Nokeng Oil has donated fuel worth P300 000 to the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
Speaking at the donation ceremony in Gaborone, Kwa Nokeng Oil general manager, Mr Dickson Nyepi said the petroleum company decided to take heed of the government’s call to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We see ourselves as being more of partners with the Ministry of Transport and Communications. Given the social responsibility that we have taken upon ourselves, we believe that we can be a in a stronger and beneficial relationship with the ministry and the government,” he stated.
Furthermore, Mr Nyepi said Kwa Nokeng Oil pledged and availed truck-parking space at their Pandamatenga depot to be used as a quarantine facility for truck drivers.
Receiving the donation, Minister of Transport and Communications, Mr Thulagano Segokgo commended Kwa Nokeng Oil for their gesture.
“When I was informed of the donation of fuel, I was overwhelmed with happiness,” he said. He stated that currently, fuel was a scarce and needed resource by the government to address the pandemic.
“I must applaud those companies that respond to the government’s call to fight the pandemic. I, therefore, encourage other individuals and companies to assist government,” he said. ENDS
