Ranyane not recognised settlement

Parliament has learnt that government resolved to relocate residents of Ranyane to Bere and Ncojane due to the fact that Ranyane was not a recognised settlement.
Assistant minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Setlhabelo Modukanele said Ranyane was also within a Wildlife Management Area (WMA).
He said the remaining Ranyane residents were not provided with social amenities and not enrolled in Ipelegeng programme because Bere and Ncojane were the new settlement/village where they could access such amenities.
Ghanzi South MP, Mr Motsamai Motsamai had asked the minister if he was aware that Ranyane residents were not provided with social amenities and enrolled in the Ipelegeng programme. BOPA
