Botswana Police Service (BPS) has resuscitated two base camps in Makhurane and Gobe to significantly reduce the distance between all base camps in the area, Ntlo Ya Dikgosi heard July 14.

Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Kgotla Autlwetse, on behalf of Minister of Defence, Justice and Security, said Rantsue was located within a 15km radius between Makhurane and

Mmamabaka, while Majale was less than 15km away from Borale Base Camp, hence the two base camps (Rantsue and Majale) were sufficiently covered.

He was responding to a question that sought to establish when the defence, justice and security ministry would consider resuscitating Special Support Group (SSG) base camps along the Botswana / Zimbabwe border.
