Court postpones Morupisi case to tomorrow

Former Permanent Secretary to the President (PSP), Carter Morupisi and wife, Pinny, today appeared at the Gaborone High Court for commencement of their trial.
Carter Morupisi pleaded not guilty to all three charges of abuse of office, accepting bribery and money laundering while his wife pleaded not guilty to a charge of money laundering.
The trial was postponed to tomorrow to give the prosecution time to compile user-friendly documents for 22 witnesses and also allow Mmegi to prepare its live streaming equipment.
The court earlier on granted Dikgang Publishing company authority to live stream the trial. The case was before Justice Christopher Gabanagae. Defense team included Mr Busang Manewe, while prosecution team has Ms Priscilla Israel. ends
