Walk of Hope donates to infant in Thamaga

Walk of Hope continues to touch lives across the country, with the latest being donation worth P12 000 to an orphaned infant in Thamaga.

Director and founder of Walk of Hope, Ms Theriso Motsenene, said in an interview that her organisation was established 12 years ago.

She said she partnered with three youths, Selina Manda, Ameera Khan and Taufeek Khan to provided food and clothing to the Thamaga infant, who lost mother following birth complications.

Ms Motsenene said they came to the child’s rescue after Ameera saw a post on Facebook.

They would also assist the infant’s siblings, a sister and brother.

The 22-year-old Ameera had been offering donations to the needyat 18 and now the amount of donations exceeded P150 000. 

She explained that they had established a trust fund for the infant child, to help with education up to Form 5.

She said she liked children and she previously donated to two Ledumadumane orphans after their mother was murdered.

Furthermore, Ameera donated shoes to over 15 schools including those in Mogoditshane, Gamodubu and Tsokotshaa.  

She said during the lockdown, she provided food for 100 families in Molepolole and Letlhakeng worth P14 000.

She appealed to the families in need not to hesitate to ask for assistance.

Ameera raised funds through a company, which she established a year and a half ago. Ends
