Board moves Sambandawe co case to Monday

Botswana Football Association (BFA) appeals board has moved to July 6 a case involving the Debswana First Division-North (FDN)’s previous committee members.
The division’s former chairperson, Mpenzeni “Samba” Sambandawe, secretary general, Rapula Gaothobogwe and treasurer Mompati Ketlogetswe were suspended in 2018 on allegations of funds irregularities.
They were dragged before the BFA disciplinary committee where they were absolved of any wrong doing. The BFA was, however, unhappy with the ruling and appealed the matter to a higher structure.
BFA chief executive officer (CEO), Mfolo Mfolo said the appeals board moved the case to Monday because they needed time to look at submissions from both parties. ENDS
