Botswana Savings Bank donates masks to pupils

Botswana Savings Bank (BSB) Francistown branch has donated 250 face masks to two primary schools in the North East District.
The two schools, Matsiloje and Matshelagabedi primary schools each received 125 face masks last week.
Speaking during the donation ceremony, BSB Francistown branch manager, Mr Maxwell Masuku said the donation was part of the bank’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.
Mr Masuku also said the bank saw the need to support the two schools after an assessment was made regarding schools within their vicinity.
He noted that through their banks initiative 1 500 branded masks had been designed with school going children in mind.
Matsiloje Primary School head, Ms Gabanyalwe Mokopanele thanked BSB for the support, adding that the face masks would be given to pupils who came from less privileged families.One of the Standard Seven pupils at Matsiloje Primary School, Gape Thekiso thanked the bank for their gesture, saying the donations would go a long way at meeting the needs of the pupils.
Thekiso also pleaded with beneficiaries to take good care of the masks and to use them to protect themselves against coronavirus.
Matsiloje headman, Mr Mothibi Lephalo also appreciated the gesture by the bank, saying the bank had not forgotten the North East District village. ends
