Allow warm dressing

Ministry of Basic Education has issued a statement that encouraged schools to exercise compassion and allow pupils to dress warmly during this winter season. They are allowed to wear a beanie, coat, fleece blanket, scarf, gloves or any item for warmth. Learners are also encouraged to wear colours close to those of their school uniform where possible. The ministry has also advised parents not to take any learner suffering from or displaying symptoms of flu or common cold to school, but rather take them for medical attention.
