Malete Landboard honours Kgosi Moilwa

The outgoing Malete Land Board has expressed gratitude towards Mogobane’s Kgosi Nobi Moilwa for his sterling working relations with the board.

The outgoing board chairperson, Mr Roy Letsatsi said in an interview on June 24 that Kgosi Moilwa had been supportive of the board operations, hence they saw it fit to bestow him a certificate of appreciation.

He said although the board worked with various dikgosi and elders in different communities, the guidance and contribution of Kgosi Moilwa had been exceptional.

He added that the land board acknowledged that Kgosi Moilwa had been working with Mogobane community to assist them.

“This appreciation is on behalf of the Mogobane community,” said Mr Letsatsi, adding that Kgosi Moilwa had been helpful in dealing with issues affecting land.

Mr Letsatsi however explained that the board had decided to give a token of appreciation only to Kgosi Moilwa in the Gamalete territory.

For his part, Kgosi Moilwa thanked Malete Land Board for recognising the community’s contribution on issues of land.

He said the appreciation showed that there had been continuous engagement with the board.

Kgosi Moilwa said his contribution towards the board had been based on the support from the community, especially community elders.

The current board, led by Mr Letsatsi, will have their tenure in office coming to an end at the end of August, after its initial tenure was extended from end of March. ENDS
