Mzwinila Foundation donated blankets and food items to Motswedi Rehabilitation Centre in Mochudi on June 21.

The foundation’s trustee, Mr Ofentse Mzwinila, said his family thought of pupils and difficulties they might be experiencing during the COVID-19 pandemic, hence the donation.

Pelo ya ga Mzwinila Foundation previously donated toys to the centre and cleared the yard.

Mr Mzwinila said the family would continue to sponsor the centre because it took care of children living with disabilities.

The centre coordinator, Mr Kgosi Tshowe, thanked the Mzwinila family, saying their gesture illustrated a true friendship and bond.

He said they assisted pre-school pupils who, however, could not attend the ceremony since their classes would only start in August.

Mr Tshowe explained that pre-school pupils were provided with physical and intellectual assistance before they start formal education in other schools.

The centre offered vocational education as well and due to financial constraints, it could not admit more children.

The pupils spend two years undertaking various courses such as horticulture and fashion design.

For her part, Ms Violet Modisanyane thanked the family for the love they shared with pupils who were far from their families.ENDS
