Morupule Coal Mine management has donated game meat to the Palapye Administration Authority (PAA) COVID-19 committee to benefit 221 disadvantaged families.

Receiving the donation consisting of three zebras, two wild beasts and a kudu, PAA principal social welfare officer, Mr Kennedy Kgodumo said they had long waited for the donation from Morupule and expressed delight over the long expected donation.

Mr Kgodumo said the game meat would be distributed among orphans and destitute in all the seven wards of Palapye, namely Khurumela, Serorome, Thomadithotse, Madiba, Lotsane,   Extensions and Boikago.

He said it would augment their monthly packages as orphans and destitutes did not benefit from COVID-19 as they got their usual monthly food hampers.

Mr Kgodumo expressed his gratitude towards Morupule management and staff for the donation, noting that it was not their first donation since the outbreak of the pandemic.
During the lockdown they managed to donate food hampers to 100 families. Ends
