Grembo donates masks

As schools reopen, well wishers and companies have lined up to assist schools meet requiremnts of COVID-19.
Grembo Security is one such company that saw the need to respond to government’s call for assistance by donating 700 masks to six Francistown West primary schools.
Grembo Security director Mr Simon Kealotswe stated at an event at Aerodrome Primary School that there was no greater pain than a parent losing a child.
“We find ourselves helpless in the clutches of an invisible enemy which has left nations paralysed and thus we not gathered here today because of this humble gesture but rather we saw this as an opportunity to marshal forces in the fight against COVID-19”.
Mr Kealotswe said complacency should be avoided as it could lead to being heavily affected by the Coronavirus and that every precaution needed to be taken to ensure that children that had returned to school were not affected by the virus due to growing up in poverty stricken.
He further stated that the need to fight the lack which parents might have in preparing their children to return to school was of importance and organising such an event was about showing the community that ‘together we can in fight against COVID-19’.
The deputy mayor for Francistown Mr Gaethuse Ramolotsane thanked Grembo for the donations and made a plea to the residents and business owners to follow suit.
“Many of us who grow up in Francistown often leave the area after finishing school to work in other towns and forget where we come from”
“These donations will be a buffer that will aid government efforts in the fight against COVID-19” said Mr Rramolotsane.
Kgosi Ishmael Legwaila of Tatitown was elated by what Grembo was doing for the community.
He said the donation was a positive response to the fight against COVID-19 looking at the fact that the pandemic caught the country unaware and that such efforts by the businesses community could bridge the gap left by government.
Cllr Ontiretse Bakile of Botsalano ward while welcoming the donations said more aid was needed to help those children whom their parents were unable to provide for them.
The schools that benefited from the donations where Tagala, Aerodrome, Ntshe, Phatlogo, Tatitown and Mahudiri primary schools. Ends
