Buffalo attacks kills man at Morutsha

Police in Maun are investigating an incident in which a 66-year-old man was attacked and killed by a buffalo at Morutsha settlement.
Maun Police Station Commander Superintendent Chenamo Orateng said in an interview on June 1, that the man was collecting firewood at around 5pm on May 29 when the buffalo attacked him.
He said the man was in the company of a 47-year-old woman, who reported the incident to the police, adding that the buffalo, came out of nowhere from the bush and attacked the man.
He said the victim was taken to Letsholathebe Memorial Hospital where he was confirmed dead.
Still in Maun, Supt Orateng said they were investigating an incident in which two men robbed Trident Wholesalers of cash amounting to P99 808.
Supt Orateng said the two men, who allegedly had something resembling a gun, allegedly attacked when a security company was collecting the money.
He said the police were still searching for the culprits. ENDS
