Police disperse crowd at Pine Leaf shop

Botswana police on May 30 dispersed customers at Pine Leaf shop in Francistown.
Pine Leaf Technology shop director, Ms Hai Qin Gao said the customers crowded the shop gate before it opened, forcing the shop management to call the police for assistance.
Police officials dispersed the crowd after they failed to adhere to COVID-19 social distancing precautions. Ms Gao said they were forced to close the shop temporarily as customers failed to adhere to social distancing precautions.
She said they closed the shop in the morning and opened it in the afternoon at 2pm in an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19.
The company, which started operation in 2014, specialises manufacturing of bedding, curtains and rugs. Ends
