28 May 2020

Botswana Football Association (BFA) has donated food hampers to former Zebras player, Mosimanegape Twizzer Ramohibidu, who is confined to a wheel chair after a car accident in 2015.

Presenting the donation yesterday, Botswana Football Association President Maclean Letshwiti described Twizzer as one of Botswana‘s heroes, who has left a legacy in the country’s football fraternity.

He said by paying Ramohibidu a visit especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, they were displaying some love and showing him that he was still a champion.

Letshwiti said BFA and Botswana Footballers’ Union had collaborated to start supporting current and former players.

He said the visit to Twizzer was the beginning of their initiative that would spread its wings to others.

Receiving the gifts, Ramohibidu said he was grateful for the gifts and felt privileged.

What the BFA and BFU is doing is good, he said, adding that the visit should also be extended to other football legends.

Member of Parliament for Mmathethe / Molapowabojang, Dr Edwin Dikoloti thanked the BFA president for the visit, saying by checking on how one of their own was doing and surviving showed that indeed he was a great leader and a father who gave hope to all footballers.

Dr Dikoloti also thanked the Minister of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development, Tumiso Rakgare, who also came to support the move. Twizzer also received P7 500 cash donated by the trio of BFA, Dr Dikoloti and Rakgare. ENDS
