Motovac has donated food hampers worth around P11 000 to SOS Children’s Village in Tlokweng.
Receiving the package on Tuesday, May26, SOS national director, Mr Motshwari Kitso said the donation was a huge relief to the organisation which houses about 100 children.
He said Motovac was the second organisation to donate to SOS since lockdown.
Mr Kitso said the village received children from different parts of the country adding that their services were constantly on demand though they survived on donors and had limited funding.
He said the centre recently started receiving children from other nationals including those who were trafficked and rescued by authorities.
Motovac Group human resource manager, Mr Mbakiso Mawila said COVID- 19 affected all across the world.
He said Motovac saw it necessary to contribute to the less privileged, adding that the group contributed to the COVID-19 national relief Fund while employees contributed from their pockets to assist SOS.
Mr Mawila said the donation affirmed the strong relationship between Motovac and SOS.
He said Motovac was proud to be associated with SOS given the significant role they played in the society.
He appealed to all, to lend a helping hand. Ends
