Botswana Football Association (BFA) Elective General Assembly is penciled for Gaborone on August 8.
Addressing a pressing briefing on May 26, BFA electoral committee board chairperson, Moemedi Letina said though they had set date for the elective assembly, they would take into consideration guidance from COVID-19 task team.
“If the COVID-19 task team advices otherwise, and feel the timing was not appropriate, we will oblige,” he said.
Furthermore, Letina said from June 1-19 they would receive submissions of candidates willing to contest for BFA national executive committee positions.
He said they would examine applicants’ names from June 22-29 and publish candidates’ names on June 30.
Letina said between July 1-14, they would deal with appeals, if any, adding that they would then publish the final list of candidates on July 23.
BFA electoral committee board chairperson said Batswana aged between 30 -75 years, and without criminal record, were eligible to contest.
He added that a candidate should serve or active in football structures for them to be eligible to contest. ENDS
