Yash Cell Jwaneng branch has donated groceries worth about P23 000 to 100 beneficiaries.
Handing over the groceries, the shop supervisor, Mr Donald Webber said as an entity that made business in Jwaneng, they found it fit to assist their clients in time of need.
“The community of Jwaneng is the very community that makes us. We have survived this far because of them and thus we found it fit to extend a helping hand to them in this time of need,” he said.
He said the gesture was also necessary because it would help relieve government, whom he said had been overwhelmed as a result of many people in need of assistance because of the lockdown.
Receiving the groceries, Jwaneng Town Council Clerk, Mr Mozondick Moswete appreciated Yash Cell for their contribution, saying ‘it is heartwarming to see companies and individuals heeding President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi’s appeal to assist fellow citizens in need’.
Mr Moswete also implored Yash Cell management to appeal to other fellow business people to come forth and assist because there were currently many people eligible for assistance since the COVID-19 pandemic. ENDS
