Establish post COVID-19 pandemic strategies

The Assistant Minister of Health and Wellness Mr Sethomo Lelatisitswe has said there is need to enhance food security in the country to control and contain coronavirus.
Mr Lelatisitswe said this in Letlhakane, May 20, during the handing over of 7000 facemasks donated by Orapa Letlhakane and Damtshaa Mines (OLDM).
He stated that as borders closed, it was essential to establish post COVID-19 pandemic strategies and to devise initiatives that could ensure sustainable food production locally.
Mr Lelatisitswe, who is also the MP for Boteti East, called on OLDM leadership to share their post COVID-19 pandemic strategy, noting that there were be high possibilities of changes in normal life.
He noted that it was essential to share the strategy with the public as most of Boteti inhabitants were dependent on the mine and should focus on funding projects that could feed the nation.
Mr Lelatisitswe further called on public officers to enhance access to all government services through online services to promote social distancing.
The General Manager of OLDM Mr Bakani Motlhabani stated that the objective of the donation of masks was to assist frontline workers in Boteti sub-district.
He stated that the masks were produced by local textile companies in Boteti, noting that the idea was to partner with government in upgrading small-medium enterprises. ends
