Flasht Chemicals Solutions on May 20 started the disinfection of places that were used for issuance of COVID-19 travel permits in Kazungula.

The chemical manufacturing company has so far fumigated the Office of the District Commissioner, Plateau Clinic, Kazungula Primary School and Kazungula kgotla.

Mr Gaone Makhondo, the Director of the company said the intention was to cover the whole of Chobe District before schools re-open on June 2 and with more people returning to work.

He explained that he decided to take this initiative at no cost in order to meet the government halfway in the fight against COVID-19 as well as giving back to the community.

Mr Makhondo said it was critical that the places be disinfected because they were used by various people whose coronavirus status remained unknown.

He explained that they are using an organic tox, which had been approved by the Ministry of Health and Wellness as well as Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS).ends
