Gaborone based TTB Cleaning Services director says public health cannot be ignored during COVID-19 era.
In an interview after disinfecting the Ghanzi Rural Administration Centre (RAC) on May 19, Mr Patrick Matlho said the exercise aimed to help government in the fight against the spread of COVID-19.
Mr Matlho said they chose RAC because it was frequented by many people who wanted travel permits and other clients seeking other services.
“We wanted to make sure that the environment is safe for those who will be seeking services, alongside public employees serving them. Remember that prevention is better than cure,” he said.
He said they used organitox chemical, which he said was safer and environmental friendly and it was approved by Botswana Bureau of Standards (BOBS).
Ghanzi District Commissioner, Mr Mooketsi Lesetedi hailed the company saying disinfecting the RAC would not only put their offices in good state but would also save government funds.
Mr Lesetedi explained that the council was also disinfecting schools and public spaces. Ends
