Kasane Pimary Hospital starts new testing process
19 May 2020
Kasane Primary Hospital will introduce a new testing process that promises to deliver about 270 tests per day from May 20.
District Health Management Team (DHMT) coordinator for Chobe, Dr Botshelo Kgwaadira explained in an interview that the hospital will start to use the Abbott model machine, which is quick, effective and convenient.
He said since Monday (May 18), the machine has been undergoing validation through samples that were collected and sent to Gaborone testing centre in order to compare the results.
Dr Kgwaadira said the issue of truck drivers taking more days and time at the borders will now be a thing of the past, adding that they can only be disappointed with the capacity of the pontoon, which carries one or two trucks per load. ENDS
