Youth Meet Vegetable Demand
15 May 2020
Two young people Ms Itumeleng Maiketso, 24, and Mr Mathews Mokwele, 31, are striving to meet a rising demand for vegetables in Tsabong in the face of COVID-19 pandemic.
The duo, based in Tsabong, have managed to circumvent challenging extreme temperatures in the Kgalagadi region where vegetables are scarce and have planted first grade spinach, rape, green peppers, kale and chomolia that they supply locally.
There is high demand for fresh vegetables as health officials continue to encourage people to eat healthy as the lock down continues. ENDS
