13 May 2020

The Kunju family has been commended for donating food hampers to the Boteti community during the COVID-19 extreme social distancing period.

Receiving the donation, Boteti deputy district commissioner, Mr Ewetse Selelo commended the gesture from the family.

The family donated 20 food hampers each to Boteti and Francistown residents as well as 25 food hampers to H & J Group Wholesalers’ staff.

All the goods are worth over P36 000.

The family has also donated P10 000 to the COVID-19 Relief Fund.

Mr Selelo said the family, which owns H & J Wholesalers in Letlhakane, had ploughed their profits back into the community.

The gesture, he said, would go a long way in strengthening relations between government and the business community.

Director of the H & J Group, Mr Hameed Kunju said it was crucial for the business community to offer support during hard times. ENDS
