Boseja South councillor donates masks

The councillor for Boseja South ward in Maun, Mr Itumeleng Kelebetseng has donated 110 masks to residents of Samedupi settlement.

Speaking during the donation, Kgosi Onalekitso Frecky of Samedupi expressed gratitude for the donation, saying it would help residents in the fight against COVID-19.

Kgosi Frecky urged residents to observe social distancing since COVID-19 was highly infectious.

For his part, Mr Kelebetseng said the donation was meant to assist residents to comply with the requirement of wearing masks in public areas.

He said his goal was to donate to all residents of the three wards of Boseja South.

Regarding food relief, Mr Kelebetseng urged residents to remain hopeful. He noted that the ward had a population of over 7 000 people, but had only six social workers to carry out assessments.

Samedupi Village Development Committee chairperson, Mr Segopotso Letso also thanked the councillor for finding it fit to help residents in the fight against COVID-19.

One resident, Ms Esere Mosweu said she was grateful for the donation as it showed that people cared for them. ENDS
