New Seasons Ministries has donated P22 500 worth of food items and sanitary products to Gaborone City Council (GCC) to be distributed to those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Receiving the food hampers on behalf of council on May 12, GCC deputy mayor, Mr Lotty Manyapetsa commended the church for the contribution.

“We have been receiving donations from various organisations but it is the first time to receive a donation from a church group in the council. We are at war with an invisible enemy and the only thing left to do is to pray,” Mr Manyapetsa said.

Mr Manyapetsa urged the nation to adhere to COVID-19 protocols and make prayer the centre of their lives.

New Seasons Ministries’ leader, Apostle Dr Francis Sakufiwa said the donation was an act of love from their ministry and saw it fit to lend a helping hand during the pandemic.

He said the church also intends to adopt 50 families. ENDS
