Social club donates to council

Tjadabae Social Club in Tutume has donated food hampers to Tutume Sub-district Council for the COVID-19 food relief initiative.
Club representative, Mr Unangoni Tom said they had 87 members and wanted to play a meaningful role during the pandemic.
He said they contributed P100 each while some members gave beyond the stipulated amount. Mr Tom said they raised P6 000 to buy groceries and packaged them into 21 food baskets for 21 families.
He said they would continue to raise funds towards the COVID-19 food relief initiative. Mr Tom said the pandemic had not only affected individuals and families, but also government.
Appreciating the gesture, deputy district commissioner for Tutume Sub-district, Ms Utlwanang Kerekang commended the social club for their efforts, adding that it was time for Batswana to unite and help one another. ENDS
