Frontline workers true heroes- PSP

The Permanent Secretary to the President, Mr Elias Magosi has commended front line workers referring to them as ‘true heroes’ in the fight to curb the spread of COVID-19.
Addressing the nation on lockdown Phase two regulations, Mr Magosi said the pandemic had brought a significant change in the day-to-day experience at work of all health care workers.
“I must single out our medical and health professionals, the doctors, the nurses and all other support staff, our security personnel and numerous teams who have all worked tirelessly to help keep us at home and adhere to the social distancing protocols at business establishments,” he said.
He acknowledged all who have been working day and night to avert the virus which has claimed many lives across the globe, commending their sacrifices and efforts as the country works to minimise the number of infections.
“I am so proud to be part of this amazing team and I know we will get through this together,” he said.
He said that the government will keep doing everything it can to support frontline healthworkers, in their effort to ensuring that Batswana can return to their normal lives.
Mr Magosi said other preventative measures in workplaces, schools and other places where essential services are offered will be administered to manage the risk of the virus spreading and to empower communities to live a normal live post COVID 19. ENDS
