Suspect wanted for assault

Sejelo police in Kanye are investigating a case in which a Village Development Committee (VDC) member at Taukobong kgotla was assaulted while assisting in the distribution of food to COVID-19 food relief beneficiaries.
Sejelo Police Station commander, Superintendent, Mogomotsi Matlapeng told BOPA in an interview that the suspect is said to have lost temper after he was informed that his name was not on the list of the beneficiaries.
Superintendent Matlapeng said the assaulted woman aged 45 years, did not sustain any injuries while the suspect was still at large.
He advised people to refrain from taking the law into their own hands, adding that in cases where they were not assisted as desired, they should seek further assistance accordingly. Ends/bopa/dm300420
