Bob City Building Supplies has donated 72 food combo hampers worth over P15 000 to Bobirwa District Emergency Operation Centre.

The food items will be distributed to 72 beneficiaries who are in dire need of food supplies during the country’s 28-day lockdown.

Of the 72 beneficiairies, each will get 10kg rice, 12.5kg bag of mealie meal, 750ml of tomato sauce and 750g mayonnaise and 2l cooking oil.

In an interview post donation, Bob City Building Supplies’ managing director, Mr Vishal Shah said their gesture was peddled towards helping a lot of people whose livelihoods had been put on ice by COVID-19 outbreak.

He promised that though the donation was an initial gesture, the company would look into further donations in future to further assist in the fight against COVID-19.

“The most important thing is for this food to go to the needy people,” said Mr Shah when asked about the value of the food. Ends
