KDC increases suppliers

Kweneng District Council secretary, Mr Goleba Kgari says the overwhelming demand for food by beneficiaries has compelled them to increase the number of suppliers.
Mr Kgari said the decision to increase food suppliers was aimed at expediting the distribution process in Molepolole/Lentsweletau Sub-district.
He noted that they faced challenges of depletion of food items from identified shop outlets.
He said they had assessed over 40 000 households and that about 31 000 had been recommended for the food basket. He noted that over 11 000 had benefited in the district of over 300 000.
Mr Kgari said they were working to expedite distribution to deserving individuals.
“Our wish is to complete the entire process in three weeks despite some hiccups impacting on the progress,” he said. ENDS
