Director of Kasane Pizza Swam Investment, Mr Asok Kumar has pledged to assist the Ntema family following an inferno that gutted their four mud houses in Satau last week.

Donating 10 blankets to the family of 10 this week, Mr Kumar, who was accompanied by Chobe District Council chairperson, Mr Amos Mabuku, said he was disheartened to learn that the fire left the family empty handed.

He said the building materials comprising of bricks, corrugated iron sheets and other materials would ensure that the family’s dignity was restored.

For his part, Mr Mabuku said upon learning of the family’s ordeal, he approached members of the business community in the district to assist hence Mr Kumar’s gesture.

He appealed to other businesses to follow suit and assist the family, adding that the family lost all their properties in the fire, including school uniform and books.

Kgosi Dickson Dambe of Satau commended the Kumar family for their generosity.

Accepting the donation, Mr Nelson Ntema also thanked the family for having seen it fit to help to his family, especially when the country was battling coronavirus.

Bakwena Lodge and Kasane Red Cross Society also donated to the family. The donations included blankets, food, toiletries, mattresses, second hand clothes and other necessities. ENDS
