Muslim association donates

Botswana Muslim Association (BMA) has donated P1.5 million worth of food and sanitary products towards the COVID-19 relief fund.

Speaking at the donation ceremony in Gaborone, BMA president, Mr Guaam Abdoola said the association found it fit to assist government in managing the spread and impact of coronavirus in Botswana.

“As an Association, we are committed to supporting government and community in facing this challenge in whichever way possible. This donation aims to support and relieve vulnerable communities,” Mr Abdoola said.

Receiving the donation on behalf of government, Minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Kabo Morwaeng commended BMA for their kind gesture.

“Thank you for today’s fitting donation and we plead for this kind of support to be sustained during this period.

As a country, we would like to reiterate our gratitude to the Botswana Muslim Association,” Mr Morwaeng said. ENDS
