SEDC starts food baskets distribution

Out of 7 177 households eligible for COVID-19 food hampers at South East District Council (SEDC), 989 have already received food hampers as they were found to be in dire need during the assessment.
According to information complied by chief social welfare and community development officer, Ms Sylvia Gilika, a total of 12 277 households were assessed at both Ramotswa and Tlokweng constituencies respectively as of April 25.
Ms Gilika said they had already identified over 7 000 households, which were eligible for food hampers at both Ramotswa and Tlokweng constituencies respectively.
She said their plan was to start distributing food hampers to the affected families before end of the week. ENDS
