Mahalapye District Health Management Team public relations officer, Ms Pauline Bontle says the ACHAP team is already in Mahalapye to begin contact tracing of people who came into contact with a person who tested positive for COVID-19.

Ms Bontle said in an interview that contact tracing would be done in Mahalapye Sub-district and further explained that the Ministry of Health and Wellness had engaged the ACHAP team to conduct the contact tracing. 

“We are expecting contact tracing to start this week, as the team is already in the district. We are now waiting for the project coordinator to meet with our DHMT management to give details on what is it that is going to happen and where are they going to start,” she added.

Ms Bontle stressed that the contact tracing would be conducted in the entire district where there could be any contacts. Ends
