Task force calls for adherence
25 Apr 2020
The Presidential COVID-19 Task Force has expressed concern about deliberate lack of adherence to extreme social distancing by some members of the public.
A press release from the task force states that crowding in public spaces and walking on the streets increases the risk of spread of the coronavirus.
The release also says such behaviour offends the regulations that govern the state of emergency and is punishable by law.
It also says the country is fighting an invisible enemy that spreads quickly and has the potential to cause serious harm to health and could be fatal.
Thus, people are urged to protect themselves, their families, friends and the nation by keeping away from the streets and public place. ENDS
