Botswana’s first Female to qualify for Tokyo Olympics, Keamogetse Kenosi doing home training at Bontleng in Gaborone on Thursday.
She said she was adhering to COVID-19 safety measures by staying home, while at the same time doing exercises, which consists of 10 rounds on a football pitch, shadow boxing, skipping rope, 100 push ups, 100 seat-ups and stretching.
Kenosi who is also the First African boxer to qualify for Tokyo Olympics appreciated support she got from her mother and her younger sister, Katlego who is also a boxer. Kenosi applauded her coach, Master Luza who consistently gave her encouragement through the phone to stick to the training plan she was given before she left camp due to coronavirus outbreak.
Kenosi however expressed disappointment that the outbreak had caused postponement of the Olympic games, but she takes solace in the fact that this would afford her more time for preparation and to get in great shape. Ends
