SPTC maintainins school toilets

Selebi Phikwe Town Council (SPTC) is maintaining ablutions and erecting washing basins, soap and sanitizer dispensers in its 11 primary schools.
Acting chief architect and building services officer, Mr Akalo Leburu, said in an interview that the council would also put up one washing basin in each block of classrooms for usage by both pupils and teachers.
He said this was in response to fighting COVID-19 pandemic as well as other infections. Mr Leburu said council was also unblocking sewerage system and repairing vandalized items in the toilets.
He said the maintenance of school toilets was expected complete by April 28 so to be ready for use should government take the decision to re-open schools. ends
