Director of Health Services, Dr Malaki Tshipayagae says he is happy with progress made by 14 patients who are currently admitted at Sir Ketumile Masire Teaching Hospital after testing positive for COVID-19.
Initially, Dr Tshipayagae said few of them were very sick, but were now doing well, adding that in due time, they would be discharged from hospital.
“But then again, it is not all about discharging them. It is also about preparing their family members so that they accept them once they are discharged,” he said.
Dr Tshipayagae said the biggest concern was stigmatisation of people who had tested positive for COVID-19 adding that there was counseling in place aimed at helping patients’ families. ENDS
