Lucara Diamond Corporation has donated food hampers worth P30 000 to Gaborone South constituency.

Receiving the hampers on behalf of the area Member of Parliament on April 16, constituency senior administration officer, Mr Salim Kegodile said the donation would go a long way in helping the populous constituency during the COVID-19 extreme social distancing period.

He said while government had come up with a COVID-19 relief programme, they realised that Gaborone South had a lot of people, and in some instances, people were 15 in a household, hence the need to help where possible.

Mr Kegodile further said Gaborone South constituency, led by Mr Dumezweni Mthimkhulu had been soliciting help form different business organisations  for the constituents who had been affected by the COVID-19 extreme social distancing period. END
