Sixty nine (69) people have remained in hotel facilities pending their COVID-19 test results after the release of 61 on April 11, who tested negative.

This brings to 83 the number of people who have been released since last week.  

Kasane DHMT coordinator, Dr Botshelo Kgwaadira said from those released, 33 were residing at Travelodge, 27 at Chobe Marina while one was staying at Bush Lodge.

He said the remaining, who were still awating their results were still residing at Travelodge adding that he was expecting their results anytime as the main laboratory centre in Gaborone had reduced its turnaround time from three days to 24 hours.

Dr Kgwaadira said it was encouraging that from those who have been released none of them tested positive for COVID-19 adding, “It is our wish that the remaining should also test negative. Ends
