Mahalapye hospital mounts checkpoint

Mahalapye District Hospital has mounted a checkpoint by the hospital’s main gate to register and interview all those arriving at the hospital.
Dr Khumoetsile Matsime said the checkpoint would assist with knowledge of one’s movements, whom they had been in contact with and if they showed any signs of COVID-19.
She said it was mandatory for all visiting the hospital to go through the checkpoint and this included staff.
Dr Matsime said the checkpoint would operate even on weekends and would continue until further notice. She said officers manning the checkpoints would work on shifts with three officers per shift.
Dr Matsime said the main gate was equipped with soap and water or sanitiser and clients were required to clean their hands before registering.Ends
